Terry Jones, former Vogue art director and founder of i-D magazine, has compiled a book charting every single cover from the first issue in 1980, as well as the stories and origins behind some of the shots, each cover star (of course) wearing the eponymous wink. i-D magazine was a totem of cool in a internet-less age, when style and cool could not be accessed with an entry into Google. The magazine has evolved from a hand stapled fanzine written on a typewriter to the mature glossy it is today, never losing sight of its creative and effortlessly cool heart, it's finger remaining firmly on the pulse.
